Airlock Digital v6.1: Delivers Policy Change History, Cloud Security Group Support and Brand-New UI

Milestone in Simpler, Faster and More Effective Application Control for the Enterprise

Today we’re announcing Airlock Digital Version 6.1, the most significant release since we established Airlock Digital in 2013.

This version is also a milestone in making application control simpler, faster and more effective for the enterprise, and we couldn’t be more excited about making it available to you. Here are the key additions we’ve made in this new release:

  • A new policy change history feature to help teams improve management and reduce risk
  • An updated user interface fully refreshed for speed and clarity
  • Integration with Microsoft Entra cloud to drive user based allowlisting decisions and exception management

Check out this video from Airlock Digital CEO David Cottingham which further explains the changes in Version 6.1.

Policy Change History Feature Reduces Risk

We recognize that observability and auditing of configuration changes are critical to improving management and reducing risk.  So, we’ve added policy change history to Version 6.1, allowing you to track every policy change, who made it, when and why.

This feature brings comprehensive change visibility, enabling teams to manage policies collaboratively with confidence. Airlock Digital now provides clear context around rule changes to help ensure your trust set stays accurate and well-managed. The visibility provided by policy change history is critical for effective policy management in the long term.

This feature is one of several important updates in Version 6.1.

Redesigned User Interface

Policy Change History, Provides Transparency and Auditability

Rebuilt for Speed and Clarity

Application control is about empowering organizations to choose what they trust and block everything else.

We’ve rebuilt the Airlock Digital user interface from the ground up to help organizations make these decisions with speed and clarity. Accessing the right information is fast and easy.

Version 6.1 sets the stage for a range of short-term and significant workflow improvements to come over the next few months.

Allowlisting Support for Hybrid Cloud & Cloud Native Domain Environments

The new release also includes Cloud Security Group Support for Windows Enforcement Agents. This enumerates the cloud security groups that hybrid cloud and cloud native domain customers have in their Microsoft Entra ID tenants.

This is a powerful competitive advantage for organizations in this category. They can control what users are allowed to run, based on their group membership and access managed exception features such as OTP and self-service.

Other highlights of Version 6.1 include:

  • Apple Script Control on macOS
  • OAuth2 email authentication
  • Further Linux agent performance improvements
  • Network efficiency improvements for Relay Agents

Plus many more.

Put simply, Version 6.1 is a landmark in making application control simpler, faster and more effective for the enterprise, and we are proud to make it available to all customers.
